Companion usage

The latest release of the Companion uses Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0.

Version 2010.1 and before used Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

If you are running Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7, the .NET Framework 3.0 is included with the operating system.

If the relevant .NET framework is not already installed on your computer, you can download it from the Microsoft website, see next column.

  • easy to maintain
  • can be web enabled in the future

Framework download

To install the relevant .NET Framework:

www.microsoft.com/downloads

Then select “Developer Tools” from the “Product families”.

Then select “.NET Framework version 3.0 Redistributable Package”.

Check the settings are OK, then use the “Download” button. The download may take some time if your internet connection is slow.
